London Trip: Part 1, The Beginning (a ferry ride)

Our trip was wonderful.  All of Jay's diligent and careful planning has paid off.  To add to the experience, we were blessed with perfect weather every single day of our family vacation.  This was an unexpected thing to happen!  It made our long walks every day much more enjoyable :o)

Because it is unusual for us, I wanted to show you how we got our car across the canal to London.  It was pretty straight forward (well, after we found where the ferry was located).
This is where we had to show our passports and...they let us pass.

Here's the car line-up waiting to drive onto the ferry.

The building behind Ivan is where you can go inside to wait (if you show up a little early - like we did).

Time to go, but first we wait for the cars coming from London to drive off the ferry.

Our turn...yay!

Jay's doing an excellent job of driving onto the ferry.

Here we are, inside our car in the belly of the ferry.  We leave our car parked between the yellow lines.

Standing on the top deck of the ferry.  We are heading for London!
