London Trip: Part 12, Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery

The next morning we were on our way to Trafalgar Square to see the National Gallery of Art.  Have a look:
Here we are, in the famous square.  The sun is shining bright...are you sure this is London?

makes a nice nesting hat....

That rooster is everywhere!

A little entertainment at the Square.

Here we are about to enter the magical domain of all things art!!

This is a portrait of Monet's wife.

Monet's wife (again) and a friend of hers.

Ruth and Boaz

Mam, is that a blue rooster on your head?

A little note:  I was noticing that most of the pictures I took are of landscapes and portraits.  Hey, I guess that shows I really like landscapes and portraits!  If it had been Jay behind the camera, you would have seen a totally different aspect of the National Gallery.  I almost wish I would have handed him the camera just to be able to see what he liked best, but, then again, we are talking about Jay and I think he would have found taking pictures in the gallery really annoying.  Oh well.  As one last word in edgeways and a really bad guesstimate on my part...I figure we only really saw about 1/8 of the entire gallery.  So much creativity and beauty and so little time (or energy) - maybe next time.  (I do hope you realize now that there is a giant blue rooster at Trafalgar Square...votes are out...is it kind of tacky???? - good question!)
